Advantages

Skin

Skin Application

Moisturization

Its fatty acid content helps to lock in moisture, leaving the skin hydrated and supple.

Antioxidant Protection

Buriti oil is rich in antioxidants, particularly beta-carotene and vitamin E. These antioxidants help protect the skin from free radicals, environmental stressors, and UV damage, which can contribute to premature aging.

Skin Radiance

The high concentration of beta-carotene in buriti oil gives it a bright orange color. When applied to the skin, it can help promote a healthy and radiant complexion.

Anti-Inflammatory

It can help soothe and calm irritated or inflamed skin. It may be beneficial for individuals with sensitive or reactive skin.

Skin Repair

The nutrients in buriti oil can contribute to the skin’s natural healing process, making it potentially useful for promoting the healing of minor wounds, cuts, and abrasions.

Skin Tone and Pigmentation

Buriti oil’s natural pigments can help even out skin tone and reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation or dark spots.

Production process

Harvesting
The first step involves harvesting ripe Buriti fruits from the Buriti palm trees. The fruits are typically harvested when they are fully mature and have a vibrant reddish or orange color. The fruits are collected by climbing on top of the tree.
step-2
Harvesting
Fruit Preparation
Once harvested, the outer scales and husk of the Buriti fruits are removed to reveal the inner pulp and seed. The pulp is separated from the seed, as the pulp is the one containing the oil.
step-5
Fruit Preparation
Oil Extraction
Cold-pressing is used to extract Buriti oil. It involves pressing the pulp to release the oil without the use of heat. This helps retain the oil's natural properties and nutritional content.
step-6
Oil Extraction
Filtration
The extracted oil is then filtered to remove any solid particles or impurities, resulting in a cleaner and clearer oil.
step-7
Filtration
Settling
The filtered oil may be allowed to settle to further separate any remaining impurities that may have passed through the initial filtration.
